IS YOUR AIRPLANE
CRUISING OR CRASHING
Every airplane has a series of check engine lights on it. These are critical to alerting the pilot that something is wrong, and needs to be found and fixed. Our bodies have built in check engine lights as well. Unfortunately these are not as clear as airplane indicators. Some of the bodies built in alerts include: Pain (local and radiating), temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, and other physiological processes. If we have pain, the check engine light is on. At this point, we have 2 options. Option 1 is to ignore the problem, and let it stay or get worse. Or option 2 is to find and fix the problem. If you ignore a check engine light long enough, eventually the engine will break down. Your body can only go on for so long before it starts to accrue damage, which means, if your feeling pain or symptoms, it’s only a matter of time before the problem gets worse or permanent damage is created. This is why you need to listen to your check engine lights, listen to what your body is telling you, and pay close attention to anything that feels abnormal. Pilots always take an alarm seriously, you should too. Because remember, the only difference between your body and an airplane, is that you can replace an airplane.
