SACROILIAC JOINT PAIN

The sacroiliac joint is the junction between the sacrum or bottom bone of the spine, and the two major wing shaped hip bones, called the iliac bones.  They are also known as the SI joints. The left and right SI joints have only a small amount of movement, and are held together by some of the largest and strongest ligaments of the body. SI Joint Pain, dysfunction or inflammation is when there is abnormal wear and tear on the SI joint, or abnormal movement that leads to pain and discomfort.
